Mazatlán Shipbuilders Bid for Contract in Venezuela

The ship building company is almost ready to export the first of four lanchas of its present contract with Pedevesa, said Uribe Fenollosa, adding it is the first time in four decades that Mazatlán has constructed boats for an international company.
The investment for each boat is approximately $1,200,000 dollars and Venezula has requested bids from Spain, China, and Singapore. Pedevesa has SENI’s bid, said the director, and his company is on the list of reliable providers. (from Noroeste)



Sinaloa Secretary of Tourism awaits feasibility study for new cruise route

If approved, the ship will carry 650 passengers and a crew of 250. The route of the cruise ship would be Mazatlán, Topolobampo, Guaymas, Puerto Pénasco, Laz Paz, and Los Cabos.
Córdova Celaya said there was a 90% chance the results of the feasibility study would be positive.



Feds to Invest 44 Million Pesos in Sinaloa Tourist Development

The Sinaloa government will match the federal contribution to bring the total investment to 88 million pesos.
Benefitting from the tourism development funds will be Mazatlán, Mocorito, Ahome, Culiacán, Guasave, El Rosario, Sinaloa de Leyva, El Fuerte and Cosalá. (from Noroeste)
