Mexico to open embassy in Azerbaijan

Trend: Azerbaijani Ambassador to Mexico Ilgar Mukhtarov has met with Chairman of the Mexican Senate's committee (the upper house of the parliament) on Asian and Pacific Affairs, MP Teofilo Torres Corzo, the Azerbaijani embassy in Mexico told Trend today.

According to the diplomatic representative office, the importance of the parliamentary diplomacy between Azerbaijan and Mexico was stressed. Cooperation issues in the political, economic, cultural and other fields were discussed.

The sides have expressed confidence in the potential of energy cooperation between the two countries.
Moreover, the importance of opening Mexico's diplomatic representative office in Azerbaijan in the near future was stressed. The sides also expressed confidence that mutual visits made by officials of the two countries will contribute to the further development of relations between Azerbaijan and Mexico.

Dutch Embassador to Mexico Visits Mazatlán

The Ambassador of Holland in Mexico, Dolf Hogewoning, visited Sinaloa this week paying a courtesy call on Mazatlán Mayor Alejandro Higuera.

He is in Sinaloa to work with the government in the area of horticulture, to get to know the agricultural infrastructure in order to improve production, quantity and quality as they have done in the United States and other parts of the world, the Ambassador said.


About Mazatlán, the Ambassador told reporters he had a good impression of the city, the beautiful beaches, an interesting Centro Historico and the necessary infrastructure for tourism.
