KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 12 (Bernama) -- Mexico has expressed its intention to enhance trade and economic relations with Malaysia.
The country's Deputy Head of Mission in Malaysia, Lourdes Sosa Marquez, said that in business, Mexico could be the door for Malaysia in southern America and Malaysia could be the door for Mexico in Southeast Asia.
Mexico was engaged in many types of business with Malaysia, including education, she told reporters at a reception here in conjunction with her country's 203rd anniversary of independence.
Deputy Communication and Multimedia Minister Datuk Jailani Johari was among the guests at the reception.
He said there were plenty of opportunities for Malaysia and Mexico to forge stronger bilateral relations.
He also said that Malaysia had plans to engage in more business with Mexico under the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) plan.
