México can become a leading supplier of meat to Russia, Agriculture Minister Nikolai Fyodorov said at a meeting with his Mexican counterpart Francisco Mayorga at a meeting of agricultural ministers in Kazan, Tatarstan, on Wednesday, May 30.


“Mexico is one of the most promising partners of Russia in Latin America,” Fyodorov said.


Twenty-two Mexican companies have been officially permitted to export meat to Russia. “I am confident that Mexico can become one of the leading suppliers of meat to Russia,” the minister said.


He said Russia is interested in “stepping up cooperation with Mexico in the field of livestock breeding.”
