Last night the Institute of Culture announced the candidates for the reigns of the Mazatlan’s International Carnival 2012 who will be identified as "The Feast of Empires".
In a great family atmosphere made the presentation of the 12 young women “mazatlecas” who disputed the greatest pride for being the Queen of the Mazatlan International Carnival 2012 and the Queen of the Floral Games, where the beauty and sympathy with the public will be the keys to take long-awaited appointment, as well as Child Queen and King of Joy.

- Fátima Álvarez Osuna Rodríguez - 22 years – Psychology Degree.
- Alma Sánchez Durán - 21 years - Studying Tourism.
- Valeria Velarde Chollet - 18 years - Studying International Relations.
- Astrid Virginia Tirado Martínez - 18 years - Study Gastronomy.
- Dulce Arellano Gurrola - 22 years - Studying BA in Business Administration.
- Karla Álvarez Centeno - 19 years - Study Singing at the CMA.
- Fernanda Morales Gastélum - 17 years – High School.
- Aída Ponce Benítez - 19 years - Studying at the Academy of “Chayito Garzón”.
- Jessica Rivera Vázquez - 20 years - Studying BA in Education.
- Ana Zataráin García - 19 years - Studying International Business.
- Ana Lilia Rentería Morales - 23 years – High School.
- Nahairy Lizárraga Zataráin - 19 years – Law Degree.
- Marlene Airim Morán Lizárraga – 8 years.
- Maritrini Guadalupe Loaiza Loaiza – 9 years.
- Édgar Canizales Soto - 25 years - Secondary Open for Adults.
- Víctor Isaac Alcalde Montes de Oca - 42 years - Stylist.
- Rodolfo López Benítez - 38 years – Radio Broadcaster.
