Carnaval Royalty Ready for the Fiesta

This past weekend with pomp and ceremony, dance performances, costumes and haute couture gowns, the 2015 Carnaval Queen, Queen of the Floral Games, King of Happiness and Child Queen were chosen to reign during the “Los Sueños de Momo” Carnaval taking place in Mazatlán February 12 through 17.
 
In front of a full house of supporters and Mazatlecans at the Angela Peralta Theater on Saturday evening, from the 11 contestants for Queens of Carnaval Rocío Uribe was chosen as Carnaval Queen and Marcela Soto as Queen of the Floral Games.
 
Rocío Urbe de Santiago, originally from the Distrito Federal, is studying for a career in hotel and tourism at the Tec Mileno while Mazatlecan Marcela Soto works in a bank during the day and studies business administration at the Universidad Autonoma de Sinaloa in the evenings.

Ready for the fiesta, King of Happiness Francisco Garay and Child Queen, Danna Guevara.
 
 
On Sunday evening in the Plazuela República on stage before an enthusiastic audience, Francisco Garay Pérez was elected as the King of Happiness and young Danna Guevara as the Child Queen.
Twenty-seven year old Francisco is a student at the Universidad de Occidente while 8 year old Danna is a student in grade three at Colegio Andes.
 
The first to receive his crown will be The King of Happiness on February 12, 7:30pm in Olas Altas. The Floral Games Queen will receive her crown on February 13, 8:30pm at the Baseball Stadium while the Carnaval Queen will begin her reign on February 14, 6:30pm also at the Baseball Stadium. And finally, the young Child Queen will be crowned on February 16, 6:30pm at the same venue.
