AGUASCALIENTES – Gov. Carlos Lozano de la Torre, speaking at a ceremony to lay the cornerstone for the Goshyu Mexicana company, said Aguascalientes is making good use of the opportunities in the current global environment in a climate of social peace, solid public finances and permanent public security that guarantee conditions for business.
This allowed the state to reaffirm its industrial leadership in Mexico with the highest rate of growth, 20 percent in 2014, far above the national 1.6 percent average and 9.2 percent growth in the Quarterly State Economic Activity Indicator (ITAEE) from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), he said.
Lozano de la Torre said Aguascalientes is one of the most solid economies in Mexico, and Goshyu Mexicana is the 74th Japanese business and the 107th business overall to invest in the state during his term.
The governor thanked Mitsuhiro Goto for his decision to invest 780 million pesos ($52 million) in Aguascalientes, starting operations in 2016. This will generate 125 new formal jobs for the development, design and manufacturing of precision wrought metal products for CVT transmissions.

Goto said the company is the first Japanese wrought metal factory installed in Mexico and in Aguascalientes thanks to its geography, human capital and security, which make a supply chain possible. “We visited industrial parks in various states and decided Aguascalientes was the most suitable place,” he said.
