Non-profit organizations throughout the state were asked to submit a formal written presentation of their charitable work for the year 2014. A total of 124 projects were submitted, 18 of which were from Mazatlán.
The presentation for Hospice Mazatlán was written by Adriana Carrillo Paredea, Director of Operations for Hospice Mazatlán. The presentation included the testimonies of numerous families helped by Hospice Mazatlán during the year, as well as giving a brief overview of the classes given by the charity to residents living in some of the city’s poorer colonias.
The award was given to Hospice Mazatlán by JAP at the annual meeting of Dia de Filantropia and accepted on behalf of Hospice Mazatlán by Lois Croly, founding board member and Amaya Peña de Cevallos, President.
Also in attendance from Hospice Mazatlán were Gordon Wainwright and Hector Treviño, board members, and Dave Croly.
