José Alberto Ureña Trujillo, Director General of
Mazatlán International Convention (Mazatlán Convention Center), said
that the city’s convention center should finish this year with around
400 events, including training sessions and conferences.
For 2014 the Director General is expecting a 25% to 30%
increase in events, putting the number of events over 500. A few
international events are anticipated he said.
Although January and February can still handle additional events, all available dates for April and May have already been sold.
Ureña Trujillo noted that in April the Convention Center
will host the National Confederation of Pediatrics of México with an
expected attendance of over 7,000.
