Second New Shopping Center Announced
At the Municipal Council meeting yesterday, Mazatlán Mayor Higuera announced the construction of another new shopping center to be called Sendero Plaza.
The investors are a group from Monterrey who own 16 commercial centers in Mexico and the Cinepólis movie theaters.
The new project on 11 hectares will be located between the International Highway (Carretera Internacional) and the corner of Ave. Óscar Pérez Escobosa and will generate 2,000 permanent and 2,500 temporary jobs.
The Mayor advised, as well, that work on the second Sam´s in Mazatlán will begin this week and the opening of the Cimaco department store in Gran Plaza is scheduled for November 22.
