According to the Integrated System for Migration Operations, between the years 2008 and 2012, arrivals in México by Canadians increased 38.5%. Additionally during the first eight months of 2013 1,119,000 Canadians visited México.

México’s Ministry of Tourism said the Tourism Board of México would be promoting the country in Canada and the Midwestern United States through a program called “Live it to Believe it.”

Rodolfo López Negretem, the general manager of the Tourism Board of México, said the international tourism promotion will promote cities such as México City, Los Cabos, Vallarta-Nayarit, and Yucatan.

He said presentations would be made in the Art Gallery of Ontario, Canada, and the Great Hall of Union Station in Chicago.
