The reconfiguration of traffic direction from two lanes heading south and two north into four lanes going north on Av. Camarón Sábalo, has resulted in less congestion in the Zona Dorada but a headache for drivers as they approach the first bridge leading to La Marina.
At the entrance to La Marina El Cid, traffic police are herding the four northbound lanes into two lanes before the bridge causing a 30 minute bottleneck as drivers head for Av. Paseo del Atlántico and Sabalo Cerritos. The long wait saw some impatient drivers drive their cars over sidewalks in an effort to move forward.
Transito officials reported heavy and slow traffic on Avenidas La Marina, Carlos Canesco, Paseo del Atlántico and Rafael Buelna but no accidents were reported. (from Noroeste)
