Representatives of Blue Life, operators the Acuario Inbursa in Mexico City,
met with municipal authorities to reiterate their interest in Mazatlán, and in
particular in obtaining the concession to operate Mazatlán´s aquarium.
Several months ago, the municipal council approved reforms to the decree creating the aquarium but those reforms have been legally challenged and are presently under an amparo.
Following the meeting, Secretary of the Municipality María del Rosario Torres Noriega told media the municipality is interested in obtaining a concession for the aquarium but denied the proposal has been decided or that it will land in the hands of Acuario Inbursa.
