Youth Brigade to Disseminate Traffic Rules to Pedestrians and Drivers

Twenty-five high school students will spend their obligatory social service advising pedestrians and drivers on traffic safety rules.
Roberto Jaime Rodríguez, coordinator of traffic education in the southern zone, said the uniformed brigade will begin at different points in the city asking drivers to use motorcycle helmets and seatbelts and asking citizens to use overhead pedestrian walkways rather than crossing busy streets.
However, he said, they will first begin with urban passenger buses explaining the ten bus service rules to passengers including having money ready to pay the fare and using handrails.
The brigade will take to the streets tomorrow and continue until February next year.
