Nissan sets México Production and Sales Records

Nissan Motor Company reported historical production growth in México. During the month of September the auto manufacturer produced 67,562 units, up 19.7 percent over September of last year. Nissan said the increase was primarily due to an increase in sales of its Sentra model, setting a record for the month of September.
September sales were up 22.3 percent over last year with sales of 23,954 units, mainly due to increased demand for the new X- Trail and March, which also set a new record.
Nissan has been the sales leader in México for 64 consecutive months.
During the second and third quarter of 2014 Nissan’s production increased 17.5 percent compared to the second and third quarter of last year reaching 338,404 units, which set a new record.
México sales during the second and third quarter of this year rose 9.3 percent compared against the same period last year to 138,080 units, which also set a new record for the a second and third quarter period.
