Batten down the hatches. Here come the Hogs!
The 20th edition of MotoClub Mazatlán’s legendary Semana de la Moto begins today with an estimated 20,000 motorcyclists attending the event from Nuevo León, Jalisco, Sonora, Durango, DF, Nayarit, Baja California Sur and Norte, Sinaloa, Canada, the United States, Argentina, Panamá and Guatemala.
Sinaloa Secretary of Tourism expects the event will bring approximately 43,000 motorcycle enthusiasts to the port between April 8 and April 12 who will spend 417.6 million pesos while here.
As in previous years, the base of activities is the Plaza de la Moto in the large field beside Sam´s Club parking lot.
Scheduled for the week are motorcycle races at the Mazatlán Autódromo, trick riding at the Plaza de la Moto, tattoo and bikini contests on the beach and live music concerts each night of the event at Plaza de la Moto.
The annual motorcycle parade along the Malecón takes place this year on Saturday, April 11 beginning at 5pm.
