Mexico City – The coordinators of the PRI, PAN, PRD, Green Party and the Labor Party closed the discussion of the approval of the secondary laws on energy issues with speeches in favor and opposing.
The PRI member Emilio Gamboa Patrón said in his speech that President Enrique Peña Nieto did not come to administer the country, but to transform it with these bold proposals that make Pemex and the Federal Commission of Electricity (CFE) competitive modern companies.
The politician called the energy reform and the laws that regulate it a historical bill. He highlighted the president’s courage to change Mexico for the great benefit of the large majority.
Miguel Barbosa Huerta, coordinator of the PRD, said that the agreements imposed by the PRI – PAN will gravely affect national sovereignty.
He said that in this reform, “The Mexican Government lost exclusivity in the exploitation of oil and thus changed the entire model of the country and the social contract that binds us as Mexicans.”.
“A chapter has ended, but the end of this story is not written,” he said.
