Sinaloa Students Win Five Math Medals

Five students from Sinaloa primary and secondary schools who entered the 10th National Mathematics Olympiad held in Mazatlán May 19 and 20 walked away with winning medals.
Twenty-six delegations from Sinaloa of eight students each participated in the tournament accompanied by their professors and teachers.
Isaac Yahir Jiménez Uribe of Colegio Chapultepec in Culiacán won the gold, followed by Francisco Paul Ríos Miranda, a fifth grade student in Mazatlán´s Colegio Andes with the silver. The bronze medals went to Denis Castro of Culiacán, Paúl Sánchez Dominguez of Guamúchil and Fernando Medina Varela of Los Mochis.
