Carlos Berdegué Sacristan, Managing Director of Grupo SAB de CV and Vice President of Mazatlán’s Association of Hotels and Tourism, said that so far this season the arrivals of airplanes from both Canada and the United States is going very well.

He said that next month the Association will be meeting with Canadian and U.S. airlines to negotiate new flights and routes for México, the results of which will be announced in May.

Carlos Berdegué added that the airlines were already considering new routes and larger aircraft to service those routes because they see that international tourism is gradually returning to Mazatlán.

He noted that both national and international carriers are seeing increases in capacity and prices, all of which means more money for the carriers and a bright future for Mazatlán.

The Vice President of the Association said, “We are talking to British Airways out of San Francisco and Frontier out of Denver and discussing additional flights from other cities or larger aircraft.”
