HydroPhi Enters Into Distribution and Marketing Relationship With Energia Vehicular Limpia of Mexico City, Mexico

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - November 12, 2013) - HydroPhi Technologies Group, Inc. (OTCQB: HPTG) ("HydroPhi"), a developer of water-based, clean energy technology that delivers improved fuel economy and reduced greenhouse gas emissions, today announced that it has entered into a master distribution and marketing relationship with Energia Vehicular Limpia S.A. de C.V. ("EVL"), a Mexico City based company, focused on finding green solutions for public and private transportation in Mexico and Latin America. EVL will introduce Hydrophi's main product, Hydroplant™, to the Mexican, Caribbean and other Latin American markets.

EVL has been in the field of vehicle based energy conversion and alt-energy transport for a number of years.

Supported by strong development agreements with leading institutions like Mexico's National University (UNAM) and National Polytechnic Institute (IPN), EVL has a long track record of collaborative work with largest public transportation owners associations in both Mexico City and Guadalajara. With its strategic base in Mexico City, EVL will initially address business opportunities in the extensive market of inner-city route buses which consist of over 20,000 extremely fuel inefficient and excessive emissions profile vehicles in Mexico City alone. This market is duplicated across Mexico and in major cities throughout Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. Additionally, these locales have a robust fleet of class 7 and 8 trucks that are suitable candidates for the HydroPhi technology.

Victor Juarez G., CEO of EVL, said, "Greenhouse gas emissions from public transportation across Latin America is an enormous issue that has long needed to be addressed. We are happy to enter into this relationship with HydroPhi to begin to tackle these longstanding problems. By launching the innovative Hydroplant™ technology to the Latin American markets, we can increase fuel efficiency, reduce emissions and improve the engine performance of these environmentally destructive fleets."

Roger M. Slotkin, CEO of HydroPhi, stated, "We are excited to form this agreement with Energia Vehicular Limpia. EVL has a long track record of providing fleets with alternative energy solutions, ranging from zero emission buses to high impact fuel and emission reduction devices. Victor has led zero emission public transportation efforts in Mexico since 2006 and has worked with many of the leading companies and investors into the sector. He has helped create half a dozen companies in Mexico and the United States that are all working towards greener vehicles. We look forward to combining forces with EVL and spreading clean energy technology throughout Mexico and Latin America."
