Nestlé, the international Swiss food company, announced it will invest $400 million in new plant in Ocotlan, Jalisco.
The food giant currently has fourteen factories in México and employs 16,000 people throughout the country. The new Jalisco plant will create 350 additional jobs in what Nestlé described as “one of the largest.”
Mario Vera, Vice President of Communications and Corporate Affairs of Nestle Affairs, México, was reported as saying construction of the new plant will begin before the end of this year.
Nestlé opened its first factory in México in 1935 and currently has four plants in the state of Jalisco. In the last five years Nestlé has invested $1 billion in México.
