Another week, another long-distance rate break announcement.

AT&T is at it again, this time with a new offer for GoPhone customers who are subscribers to its $60-a-month plan: as of February 20 that plan will include unlimited calls to Mexico at no additional cost.

The United States’ second largest telecommunications company first announced unlimited calls for its World Connect Value plan customers. Then it announced the same break for Cricket Wireless customers on the $50 and higher plans.

All those offers are only good for calls from the United States to Mexico, and not vice versa.
AT&T is expanding into Mexico, having purchased Iusacell and Nextel Mexico in the past few months.

It has been charging 1 cent per minute for calls to Mexico, which is the most frequently dialed country among its wireless customers, it said last month.
