Breast Cancer Charity Donates Prostheses

Mazatlán charity group, Grupo de Apoyo de Cáncer Mama, announced at its annual fundraising breakfast last week that it will donate 25 silicon breast prostheses to victims of the disease.
Director General of the Human Rights Center and head of the group, Margarita Domínguez Ocampo, added they will also provide 10 silicon brassieres to women wishing them.
Herself a survivor of breast cancer, Domínguez Ocampo said the prostheses will last 10 to 15 years.
Present at the breakfast was DIF President Sylvia Treviño de Felton who said her department is working with the General Hospital to see if they can establish a chemotherapy treatment center for women with breast cancer at the hospital to avoid women having to travel to Culicán for treatment.
