Sinaloa Sends over 140 Tons of Supplies to Baja California Sur

Sinaloa governor Mario López Valdes, said that in the week following the devastation of California Baja Sur by Hurricane Odile the people of Sinaloa have sent to the area over 140 tons of food, water, clothing, cleaning supplies and medicine.
The students, teachers and staff of Autonomous University of Sinaloa collected 20 tons of the supplies.
Gerardo Vegas Landeros, Secretary General of the Government, said that 10 trucks loaded with the relief supplies had been sent to Baja California Sur from the Topolobampo ferry terminal.
In Mazatlán Raymundo Zataráin, business advisor for Maritime Transportation de California, said the supplies going to La Paz from the Mazatlán ferry have priority over other cargo. The ferry to La Paz is leaving from Mazatlán four times a week.
