Mazatlán on Watch for Tropical Storm Norbert

Head of the Conagua Meteorological Service, Hugo Nordahl Valdez, said Mazatlán is on alert for high winds and heavy rain from Tropical Storm Norbert which is presently 285 kilometers southwest of Manzanillo.
The storm could bring over 100 millimeters of rain, waves between 2 and 4 meters high and winds with gusts up to 50 kilometers per hour to the city.
Although Norbert is projected to move away from the Mazatlán coast, this type of storm is erratic and could change its trajectory so they are watching it closely, said the meteorologist. (from Noroeste)
