“A series of changes and reforms have been carried out in countries like Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Ecuador, Uruguay, Mexico and Spain, and many others are consolidating advances. There could not be a better time for Mexico to host this summit.”
On Aug. 27, twenty-two education secretariats will participate in the 12th meeting of the General Assembly of the Ibero-American Organization.
In this meeting, a new general secretary for the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI) will be elected. The venue for the next meeting in four years and the Chairman of the Board for the 2015-2018 period will also be elected.

This meeting will address core issues and long range projects that if approved will be considered by presidents and governments of Latin American countries at the next summit.
On Aug. 29, the 17th Ibero-American Conference of the Culture Secretariat will present the Latin American Children and Youth Theater Festival with the participation of 20 countries.
