American Travel Alert Excludes Mazatlán Again

For the fourth consecutive time, the United States State Department via its website has declared the port of Mazatlán a safe tourist destination and has removed it from its travel warnings.
The website advises that Mazatlán, the largest tourist destination in Sinaloa, has secure zones for tourists, including the Centro Historico, Zona Dorada and the highway to the airport.
The State Department has excepted Mazatlán from its travel warnings for Sinaloa since November 20, 2012, exteding the exception on July 12, 2013, January 9, 2014 and yesterday.
