Beginning May 1, the summer electricity subsidy for domestic users begins and will end on October 31 said the CFE superintendant for Mazatlán, Rafael López Tovar.
The 250,000 CFE clients in Mazatlán, Concordia, El Rosario Escuinapa, Elota and San Ignacio will be charged at the reduced ID tariff rate, a subsidy which increases the monthly 200 kilowatts-hora to 600 and the bi-monthly from 400 kilowatts to 1,200.
López Tovar pointed out that depending on a client’s billing cycle the subsidy may not be applied to electric bills until the middle of May and cautions users to refrain from turning on air conditioners during the first two weeks of May to save money. (from Noroeste)
