Mazatlán Mayor, Carlos Felton, said Avenida Del Mar is 100 percent for families, while Olas Altas is for fun, dance, music and alcohol for those who want to drink.
The mayor added, “If a person is discovered drinking on Avenida Del Mar, officers of the Municipal Police will suggest the person go join the fun at Bandódromo. But, if the person rejects this invitation, then there will be no choice but to send them to the Juarez Jail; as I said Avenida Del Mar is for children and people with disabilities and the boardwalk for families to enjoy.”
People will be able to dance and drink until 4:00 am in Olas Altas; we are giving people every opportunity to have fun, Felton said.
