Weather Forecast
Oops, first I've got bad news. Winter's not over yet...by a long shot. Despite a warming trend over Canada the last few days, there's yet another blast of cold air brewing up the Arctic. Get ready for it to dive bomb into Southern Canada and the Northern US by mid week.
This is not from the Polar Vortex, it's a Canadian Clipper sweeping down a wintry mix of rain, snow, and ice. It will miss Edmonton and Calgary. Chicago will also be spared...just barely.
However our friends in Winnipeg, Minneapolis, and Cleveland better not have put away that snow shovel yet, because they're gonna' need it. Oh, and get that heavy coat back out of the closet, because we're talking at least below freezing temperatures for this unlucky section of North America.
In the meantime the entire Pacific Coast is balmy. Expect high temperatures into the mid 50's (13.5 C.) for Vancouver, high 60's (20 C.) for San Francisco, and LA's going to hit 80 degrees (27 C.), just about the same time Cleveland plummets to the freezing mark (0 C.) with plenty of snow.
Warmer temperatures are headed for Maz too, and talk about good weather! Don't forget the actual temperature, and how warm or cold you feel is often two very different things. This week we've got the triple threat for the Golden Zone, and from now on we'll refer to this phenomena as "Dorado Tripleta," (which means Golden Trifecta).
First you take a big helping of nice warm temperatures, then add a large portion of very mild breeze. Top off your Tripleta soufflé with virtually clear days and zero chance of rain, and that, my friends, is the perfect recipe for feeling warmer than the number on the board.
I'm sticking with our now de rigueur 15 degree spread for day and night temperatures. Right about 80 (27 C.) and gorgeous for the day, with a downright lovely 65 (18.5 C.) and calm at night. Ocean water? Still 74 to 75 degrees (23.5 C.) with a lane of 78 degree offshore water enticing those big game fish closer and closer.
This is getting so familiar I could almost do a copy and paste of last week's forecast...except it gets better! We had that windy day and a day of overcast, plus the rain for Friday's mini forecast. This time around we're major Samo Samo. I mean the consistency of sun, temperature, and conditions from one day to the next is going to have you not only forgetting what day it is, you'll be lucky to remember what week...LOL
For those of you in Maz or coming soon congratulations you've hit the Dorado Tripleta jackpot, and in some cases may have escaped winter's last blast. For those of you getting blasted?? Well, it's not too late to book that last minute special is it....;^)
