44 Young People Apply to Become Firefighters

A total of 44 young people began classes at the Academia de Formación de Bomberos 2014 in the hope of becoming members of Mazatlán’s Volunteer Corps of Firefighters after five months of theoretical and practical instruction.
The instructors are firefighters from Mazatlán’s three fire stations, each teaching a specific course.
Timoteo Camacho, Commander of the Firefighters Corps, said every year they are concerned about providing professional and efficient services and for that reason before a firefighter can ride a fire truck, he is prepared and trained. If they show and aptitude and pass the exams, they then become part of the corps.
