For the second time in 15 months the president of México is on the
cover of Time Magazine. The cover photo of the president is accompanied
by an article “Saving México.”
The article highlights the reforms México has passed under the leadership of Nieto. Patrick Witty, the international picture editor of Time gave a preview of the article on his Twitter account.
The author of the article, Michael Crowley, highlighted the work of the Mexican president saying he has transformed the situation in the country based on the adoption of “social, political and economic reforms, which are the most ambitious in living memory.”
The author noted that five years ago, the Pentagon compared México to Pakistan, noting that both were at risk of a “rapid and sudden collapse” due to the growth of drug trafficking and economic decline.
