CDNetworks has added a Point of Presence (PoP) in Mexico City, helping global manufacturers quickly and easily reach partners and employees throughout Mexico.

“Mexico has become an important manufacturing hub for the world,” said Jeff Kim, President and COO, CDNetworks. “Our new PoP enables manufacturing headquarters, located in the US and Europe, to reliably and easily manage offsite resources by ensuring fast and available applications running over the internet.”

Many companies are not just outsourcing to Mexico, but building and owning manufacturing facilities. With that comes a multitude of applications needed to manage and run an offsite facility including ERP and HR systems such as SAP and Oracle. CDNetworks can accelerate these and other applications, making them 2-3 times faster and ensuring productivity does not suffer due to poor internet connectivity.

According to Peter Coy of Bloomberg Businessweeki, “Mexico has developed a national expertise in certain industries, which makes it more attractive for companies to locate or expand plants there. Because Mexico is a major auto manufacturer, 89 of the world’s top 100 auto parts makers have production in the country.”

Auto manufacturers, including Nissan, Honda, General Motors, and Ford have all announced plans for building facilities in Mexico as well. Their US and European headquarters will need fast and reliable web applications for communication, collaboration, and resource planning. CDNetworks is now positioned in Mexico to serve these manufacturers and others with a better, more reliable user experience for partners and employees.
