Dallas-based MoneyGram said today it expanded its money-transfer services in Mexico.

Under a deal with Farmacias Guadalajara, customers can send and receive money at more than 1,000 of the drugstore chain’s locations.

Financial terms of the deal were not announced.

Mexico is an important market for MoneyGram. During the second quarter, U.S.-to-Mexico money transfer transactions grew 31 percent.

Mexico ranks third on a list of countries that receive the largest amount of inbound funds, according to the World Bank. Mexico receives about $22.5 billion annually from the U.S.
